Desert Pines took a three-set defeat the last time they faced off against Sports Leadership & Management, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Jaguars had just enough and edged out the Bulls 3-2. This was a revenge game for the Jaguars: when they faced off against the Bulls back in March, they had to take a 3-0 loss.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Desert Pines got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 22-25, 28-26, 21-25, 15-10.

With the win, Desert Pines broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-13. As for Sports Leadership & Management, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Desert Pines is set to challenge their familiar foe Western at 6:00 p.m. on the 17th. Meanwhile, Sports Leadership & Management will face off against rival Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon at 6:00 p.m. on the 17th.
