Recap: Bad Axe Hatchets vs. Laker Lakers
The Bad Axe Hatchets lost against the Laker Lakers back in October of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Bad Axe fell 24-14 to Laker. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Bad Axe in their matchups with Laker: they've now lost four in a row.
Several Hatchets players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Nathan Pawloski, who rushed for 119 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.4 yards per carry.
Bad Axe's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 3-7. The slump could be explained by some tough opposition over that stretch, namely Laker, Marlette, and Sandusky. As for Laker, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Bad Axe does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Laker will head out on the road to face off against Millington at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Millington is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
