Preview: Jackson County Blue Devils vs. Van Buren County Eagles
Jackson County is 2-8 against Van Buren County since January of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Jackson County Blue Devils will look to defend their home court against the Van Buren County Eagles at 6:00 p.m. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
Jackson County unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 44-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of Clay County. Jackson County has struggled against Clay County recently, as their game on Friday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite their loss, Jackson County saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Claire Williams, who scored 14 points along with 7 rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. Another player making a difference was Jalynn Meadows, who scored 9 points.
Meanwhile, Van Buren County's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 46-45 to Monterey.
Jackson County's defeat dropped their record down to 4-1. As for Van Buren County, they have fallen quite a ways from their 24-10 record last season and are now at 0-3.
