Basketball Preview: Everton Tigers vs. Bradleyville Eagles
Everton has enjoyed the comforts of home their last four games, but now they'll head out on the road. They and the Bradleyville Eagles will face off at 5:30 p.m. on February 2nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Everton focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 28 on Tuesday.
Everton lost a heartbreaker to the Wildcats when they met back in January of 2023, and they left with a heavy heart again. Everton was outmatched by the Wildcats at home and fell 81-40. Everton has not had much luck with the Wildcats recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
The losing side was boosted by Josh Daniels, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 14 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Bradleyville, who are still winless after their 16th contest. They lost to Hurley on the road by a decisive 56-38 margin on Friday.
Everton dropped their record down to 0-20 with that loss, which was their 21st straight at home dating back to last season. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 27.2 points per game. As for Bradleyville, their loss dropped their record down to 0-16.
Everton barely slipped by the Eagles in their previous matchup back in February of 2020, winning 69-68. Does Everton have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
