Basketball Recap: East Comes Up Short

East and Northwest squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but East had to settle for second. They took a blow against the Northwest Indians, falling 81-11. While losing is never fun, the Dragons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 797th, while the Indians are ranked 115th).

Amariah Hall was East's leading scorer, having posted five points.

East's defeat was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Northwest, the win was the 13th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 21-2.

East does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Northwest, they will take on Field at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Northwest knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Field likes a good challenge.
