Soccer Game Preview: Berkner vs. Irving

Berkner hasn't had much luck against Irving recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Berkner Rams will be playing in front of their home fans against the Irving Tigers at 7:15 p.m.

Berkner lost 4-1 to Lake Highlands on Friday.

Meanwhile, Irving put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over Nimitz. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked ninth, while the Vikings are ranked 493rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Berkner's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 4-3-2. As for Irving, their win bumped their record up to 8-0.

Berkner might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Irving in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Can Berkner avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
