Basketball Recap: Grand Rapids Takes a Loss

Grand Rapids lost against Rocori back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Grand Rapids Thunderhawks took a hard 59-43 fall against the Rocori Spartans. The Thunderhawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Grand Rapids' loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Rocori, they moved to 2-5 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Grand Rapids won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Twin Cities Academy/Great River at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Twin Cities Academy/Great River knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matchups -- so hopefully Grand Rapids likes a good challenge. As for Rocori, they and North Branch will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played.
