Softball Game Preview: George County Rebels vs. West Harrison Hurricanes

For the second straight game, George County will face off against West Harrison. George County will look to defend their home field on Friday against West Harrison at 6:30 p.m. George County will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

On Tuesday, George County was able to grind out a solid win over West Harrison, taking the game 6-3.

George County got a great performance from Addison Davis as she struck out nine batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits (and only one walk). Davis has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances.

At the plate, George County saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Peyton Collins, who went 1-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. Hadleigh Tatum was another, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2.

George County pushed their record up to 17-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for West Harrison, their defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 6-13.
