Baseball Game Preview: Rising Tide vs. Atlantis

Rising Tide are taking a road trip to challenge Atlantis at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Rising Tide comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

Rising Tide came up short against Nantucket on Friday, falling 11-1.

Meanwhile, Atlantis made easy work of Southeastern RVT on Saturday and carried off a 9-3 win. The result was nothing new for Atlantis, who have now won seven games by six runs or more so far this season.

Brady Cambra spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on three hits. He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Atlantis is 2-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 5-7 otherwise.

At the plate, Collyn Viverios was a standout: he got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April. David DeSouza Jr. was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base.

Atlantis' victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-8. As for Rising Tide, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-10.

Rising Tide might still be hurting after the 16-1 loss they got from Atlantis in their previous meeting back in April. Can Rising Tide avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
