Air Academy had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Liberty on Tuesday. The Kadets were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Lancers. That's more bragging rights for the Kadets, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

While Air Academy won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-17, 25-23.

Their offense was headlined by Mae Magoon and Audrey Kriss, who picked up nine kills apiece. They were helped by Sophia McNab and Jiselle Rodriquez, who contributed eight assists each. Audrey Husemann controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Air Academy's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Liberty, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Coming up, Air Academy will square off against Palmer at 6:00 p.m. on the 18th. As for Liberty, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Doherty on the 11th.
