Baseball Game Preview: Wilson Eagles vs. Velma-Alma Comets

The Wilson Eagles will head out to challenge the Velma-Alma Comets at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Wilson has given up an average of 6.5 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Wilson came up short against Wynnewood on Tuesday, falling 15-4.

Wilson saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dylan Tunnell, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one double.

Velma-Alma not only won last Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 5th (when they won 9-1). They put the hurt on Rush Springs with a sharp 8-2 win.

Velma-Alma's victory bumped their record up to 4-14. As for Wilson, their loss dropped their record down to 9-4.

Wilson came out on top in a nail-biter against Velma-Alma when the teams last played back in March, sneaking past 4-2. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Comets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
