Costa Mesa had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Laguna Hills on Thursday. The Costa Mesa Mustangs blew past the Laguna Hills Hawks 3-0. The win was nothing new for the Mustangs as they're now sitting on three straight.

Costa Mesa got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 33-31, 25-19, 25-22.

Costa Mesa's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-4. As for Laguna Hills, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.
