Softball Recap: Schuylkill Haven Hurricanes vs. Mahanoy Area Golden Bears
Schuylkill Haven took care of business in their home opener on Friday (and then some). They were the clear victor by a 16-2 margin over the Mahanoy Area Golden Bears. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Schuylkill Haven also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2023.
Emmie Scherer was a standout: she scored a run while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Nicole Domermuth, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
On Mahanoy Area's side, they saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cadance Poslosky, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.
Mahanoy Area dropped their record down to 0-2 with that loss, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.
