Baseball Recap: Rushville-Industry Wins Going Away Against Triopia

Rushville-Industry's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Triopia Trojans as they made off with an 11-4 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Rockets considering their one-run performance the match before.

Macon Kessler was incredible, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson Spencer, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Rushville-Industry pushed their record up to 9-9 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Triopia, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rushville-Industry will welcome Monmouth United at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Triopia, they will be playing in front of their home fans against New Berlin/Franklin/Waverly at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
