Volleyball Recap: Kennedy Takes a Loss

Kennedy saw some tournament action on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lathrop Spartans.

Lathrop got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ayden Petroff out in front who had three digs, three aces, and one block. Petroff is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 15 or more in each of the last 15 games she's played. Justine Mabutas was another key player, getting six digs and three assists.

Kennedy's loss dropped their record down to 4-19. As for Lathrop, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.

Kennedy has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Atwater on the 11th. As for Lathrop, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against College Park on the 11th.
