Recap: Bison Cardinals vs. Jones County Coyotes

The Bison Cardinals's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a rough 69-27 loss at the hands of Jones County. Bison has struggled against Jones County recently, as their game on Saturday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Bison lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Rylee Veal, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds and five steals. Veal scored a full 51.9% of Bison's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Kyle Stadler was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with eight rebounds.

Bison struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Jones County racked up 18 assists.

Jones County's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bryer Kinsley, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 14 steals. Another player making a difference was Cooper Feddersen, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds.

Bison's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Jones County, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Bison will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Takini at 7:00 p.m. on January 4, 2024. Takini has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Jones County will be home for the holidays to greet Stanley County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
