Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Woodville-Tompkins). They really took it to the Ridgeland Secondary Academy Of Excellence Jaguars for the full four quarters, racking up a 57-21 win. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Wolverines had established a 29-point advantage.

It was another big night for Cassidy Freeman, who shot 47% from the field to rack up 21 points in addition to eight boards and four steals. That makes it five consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Woodville-Tompkins' points. Another player making a difference was Trinity Morris, who posted six points along with nine steals and five rebounds.

Woodville-Tompkins smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 14 offensive boards in three consecutive contests.

Woodville-Tompkins' first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Ridgeland Secondary Academy Of Excellence, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
