Basketball Recap: Hilltop Christian Snags 11th Victory in Last 12 Games

Hilltop Christian extended their road winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Caleb Manriquez. The Hilltop Christian Chargers were the clear victor by a 72-51 margin over the Greenville Christian Academy Knights on Thursday thanks in part to Manriquez, who almost dropped a double-double on 30 points and nine rebounds. That's the most points he has posted since back in February of 2024.

Despite the loss, Greenville Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Matthew Dove, who went 8 of 15 en route to 25 points. Connor Dial was another key player, putting up eight points and ten boards.

Hilltop Christian is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season. As for Greenville Christian Academy, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-7.

When Hilltop Christian and Greenville Christian Academy next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Hilltop Christian will try to stop Wilmington Christian Academy's five-game winning streak when the meet at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. Hilltop Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 62 points per game this season. Similarly, Greenville Christian Academy will take on New Bern Christian Academy and their 11-game winning streak at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
