Volleyball Recap: Howland Comes Up Short + How To Watch

It was a proper cat-fight when Howland took on Canfield on Tuesday. The Tigers lost 3-0 to the Cardinals. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cardinals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on September 11th.

While Howland was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-22, 25-12.

Maya Kubancsek paced Howland's offense, picking up 14 kills. Kubancsek got some help from Talia Rishel and her 27 assists. Lily Day controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Howland has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-7 record this season. As for Canfield, their win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-1.

Coming up, Howland will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Louisville at 11:30 a.m. As for Canfield, they will head out to face off against Mineral Ridge at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday.
