Basketball Recap: Colin Dillon Key Part of a Team Effort in Bulldogs Win

Ramona won the last time they faced San Pasqual and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Ramona Bulldogs came out on top against the San Pasqual Golden Eagles by a score of 74-63. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Bulldogs as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Ramona's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Colin Dillon led the charge by going 6 of 9 from beyond the arc on his way to 22 points and four steals. Dillon's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Aiden Bestul was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 14 points and nine rebounds.

Ramona smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in six consecutive matchups.

Several Golden Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Desmond Frazier, who went 8 for 14 en route to 18 points and five boards. Another player making a difference was Osvaldo Gonzalez, who posted 12 points.

Ramona's victory bumped their record up to 5-11. As for San Pasqual, they dropped their record down to 2-13 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road.

Ramona didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 94-66 win against Valley Center on the 17th. As for San Pasqual, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 70-46 loss against Fallbrook on the 17th.
