The Franklin Central Flashes will head out on the road to challenge the Fishers Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Franklin Central will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
Franklin Central is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Indiana's top teams: Roncalli, who was ranked tenth at the time (Franklin Central was ranked 18th). The Flashes narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Royals 5-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Flashes have posted since May 9, 2024.

Kiley Renick

05/10/25 vs Southport | 6 |
05/10/25 vs Perry Meridian | 5 |
Kiley Renick spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on six hits and racked up six Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Jadyn Tinsley was excellent, going 1-for-2 with three RBI and one double. Another player making a difference was August Coons, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run and one double.
Meanwhile, Fishers got themselves on the board against Carmel on Monday, but Carmel never followed suit. They blew past the Greyhounds 12-0. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won eight matchups by six runs or more so far this season.
Kate Murray and Frankie Jackson made a big impact while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Murray pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Jackson didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. At bat, Murray got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and three RBI, while Jackson went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Those three runs gave Murray a new career-high.
In other batting news, Brooke Clayton and Hailey Kinder did most of the damage at the plate: Clayton went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and one double, while Kinder went 4-for-5 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. Those four RBI gave Clayton a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kennedy Shockley, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Fishers kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are 7-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
Franklin Central pushed their record up to 15-7 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.6 runs over those games. As for Fishers, their record is now 12-7.
Tuesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Franklin Central hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .397. However, it's not like Fishers struggles in that department as they've averaged .358. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Franklin Central came out on top in a nail-biter against Fishers in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, sneaking past 11-10. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Flashes since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
