Basketball Game Preview: Northwood Gators vs. Jena Giants

The Northwood Gators will take on the Jena Giants in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Northwood's defense has only allowed 29.6 points per game this season, so Jena's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Northwood is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Montgomery just ended the team's seven-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 47-44. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Gators have suffered since January 30th.

Meanwhile, Jena was fully in charge on Tuesday, breezing past Monterey 47-13. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Giants.

Northwood's loss ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 7-2. As for Jena, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.
