Basketball Game Preview: Oxford Academy Patriots vs. Kennedy Fighting Irish

Oxford Academy hasn't had much luck against Kennedy recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Oxford Academy Patriots will take on the Kennedy Fighting Irish in a tournament on Monday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Oxford Academy picked up another tournament win on Saturday. They came out on top against Chowchilla by a score of 58-48. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Patriots.

Meanwhile, Kennedy had already won ten in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15.8 points) and they went ahead and made it 11 on Saturday. They walked away with a 59-52 win over the Titans.

Kennedy's victory bumped their record up to 15-4. As for Oxford Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.

Oxford Academy came up short against Kennedy when the teams last played on December 6th, falling 52-41. Can Oxford Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
