More had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Waldorf Mavericks.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant More was: they took every set by at least 14 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-4, 25-8, 25-11.

Apollonia Cortese paced More's offense, picking up eight kills. Cortese got some help from Rebecca Bowdish and her 11 assists. Bowdish also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Kathleen Schaper, each putting up nine.

More's win bumped their record up to 9-13. As for Waldorf, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.

Looking ahead, More will square off against University Prep Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Waldorf does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
