Baseball Recap: Hannibal Comes Up Short

Hannibal lost against Fulton back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Pirates fell just short of the Hornets by a score of 3-2. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Hannibal saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Reid Holliday, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Hannibal dropped their record down to 6-9 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Fulton, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-2.

Coming up, Hannibal will challenge Quincy at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Pirates are facing the Blue Devils at the right time seeing as the Blue Devils are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Fulton, they will square off against Moberly at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
