Lakeside and Medical Lake are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2019, but likely not for long. The Eagles will take on the Cardinals at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Lakeside sitting on seven straight victories and Medical Lake on three.

Meanwhile, Medical Lake put their dominant pitchers on display in the team's third consecutive shutout on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 9-0 margin over Riverside. Considering the Cardinals have won seven matchups by more than eight runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Lakeside's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-7. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Medical Lake, their win bumped their record up to 11-7.

Lakeside took their victory against Medical Lake when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 14-4 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
