Soccer Recap: Cape Fear's Run of Six Straight Victories Now Over

Cape Fear and Western Alamance squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Cape Fear had to settle for second. They lost 4-1 to the Warriors. The match was a close 2-1 at the break, but unfortunately for Cape Fear it sure didn't stay that way.

Their goal came courtesy of Hannah McGill, who's now up to 12 this season.

With the defeat, Cape Fear broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 19-5-3. As for Western Alamance, the win keeps they at an undefeated 21-0-1.

Cape Fear does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Western Alamance, they will welcome Jacksonville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Western Alamance have won 11 straight at home, while Jacksonville won eight straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
