After flying high against Jurupa Valley last Friday, Colton came back down to earth. The Yellowjackets took a 28-21 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eisenhower Eagles on Friday. The Yellowjackets lost against the Eagles in their previous head to head back in October of 2021, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 55-0 score last time.

Colton's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Koa Regalado, who threw for 149 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 12 passes, and also rushed for 60 yards on only six carries. Kalvin Leon also helped out with an impressive 99 receiving yards.

Colton didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Jacob De La Rosa.

Colton's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Eisenhower, the victory also got them back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Colton will head out to square off against Arrowhead Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Eisenhower, they will welcome Cypress at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
