A well-balanced attack led Avery County over Madison in every quarter on their way to victory on Tuesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Avery County Vikings blew the Madison Patriots out of the water with a 65-23 final score. The Vikings have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten contests by 24 points or more this season.

Avery County found their leader in sophomore Marley Jones, who went 7 of 11 en route to 19 points and three steals. Jones is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as she's posted one of at least 45% in the last four games she's played. Hallie Johnson was another key player, putting up 11 points and six steals.

Avery County has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.8 points over those games. As for Madison, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-14.

Avery County has already played their next matchup, a 66-27 win against Owen on the 7th. As for Madison, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 59-28 victory against Rosman on the 5th.
