Volleyball Recap: Middleton Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Middleton duked it out with Trinity Christian Academy on Monday. The Tigers took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lions. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 on Saturday.

The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-18, 19-25, 25-18.

Among those leading the charge was Jenna Joyce, who had 16 digs. She has been hot recently, having posted 14 or more digs the last three times she's played. Edie Allen also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Middleton's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Trinity Christian Academy, their record is now 6-2.

Middleton has already played their next contest (against Collinwood), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Trinity Christian Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Dyersburg on the 26th.
