Football Recap: Merryville Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Merryville extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to nine on Friday, dropping them down to 0-3. They took a 30-22 hit to the loss column at the hands of the LaSalle Tigers. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

As for LaSalle, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 31.0 points over those games.

Tuff Street was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 165 yards and three TDs while picking up 7.5 yards per carry. He didn't just play on offense: he also forced one fumble and made five total tackles in addition to snagging an interception.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Merryville will venture away from home to square off against Pickering at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for LaSalle, they will head out to take on Block at 7:00 p.m. on the 27th.
