Softball Recap: Bluffton Comes Up Short

Bluffton couldn't beat Beaufort on Thursday even though they stacked four runs on them in the fifth inning. The Bobcats came up short against the Eagles, falling 15-5. The defeat continues a trend for the Bobcats in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost eight in a row.

Bluffton's loss dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Beaufort, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-10 record this season.

Bluffton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Beaufort, they will challenge Darlington at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Falcons have averaged an impressive 8.7 runs per game this season.
