Paul Roesel put up the most strikeouts he's had since back in May of 2024 on Thursday. He struck out four batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk).

Even though Roesel couldn't lead Pierson over Babylon, he won't have to wait long to try again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Sadly, Roesel's big day wasn't enough to stop the loss, which snapped the Whalers' five-game streak of wins at home. With the streak broken, Roesel and the Whalers surely have a bit of extra motivation heading into Friday's match.
