San Leandro typically has all the answers at home, but on Saturday Junipero Serra proved too difficult a challenge. They had just enough and edged out the Pirates 2-1. Winning may never get old, but the Padres sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

In the two sets Junipero Serra was on fire: they won each by at least ten points. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-15, 15-5.

Junipero Serra pushed their record up to 14-9 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for San Leandro, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-7.

Junipero Serra didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 victory against Castro Valley on the 29th. As for San Leandro, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on St. Joseph Notre Dame at 6:00 p.m. on the 8th. The Pirates are facing the Pilots at the right time seeing as the Pilots are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
