Softball Recap: Oxford Takes a Loss

Oxford lost against Farmington back in April of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Wildcats came up short against the Falcons, falling 17-4.

Oxford saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Elliot Smith, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI and one double.

Oxford now has a losing record of 0-1-1. As for Farmington, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Oxford will head out to take on Athens at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Farmington, they will venture away from home to square off against Stevenson at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
