Basketball Recap: Notre Dame Gets the Win

After losing to Hillsboro the last time they met, Notre Dame decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Notre Dame Bulldogs walked away with a 65-56 victory over the Hillsboro Hawks on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bulldogs.

When it comes to explaining why Hillsboro lost, don't look at Gregory Robinson. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double with 21 points and 15 rebounds. The game was Robinson's third in a row with at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cooper Mcgrath, who went 7-for-10 on his way to 16 points and four steals.

Notre Dame's win bumped their record up to 12-10. As for Hillsboro, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Notre Dame will square off against Poplar Bluff at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Considering Poplar Bluff has lost six straight at home and Notre Dame three straight on the road, this one might come down to who's more desperate to change their momentum. As for Hillsboro, they will head out to face off against DeSoto at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
