Football Game Preview: Pe Ell/Willapa Valley vs. South Bend

Pe Ell/Willapa Valley have been homebodies their last two matches, but they are heading out on Friday. They take on South Bend at 7:00 PM. Coming off of a win even when the odds were against them, Pe Ell/Willapa Valley have to be feeling especially confident with the MaxPreps state rankings on their side for this one.

Pe Ell/Willapa Valley took their contest against Lyle/Wishram last Friday by a conclusive 33-7 score. With Pe Ell/Willapa Valley ahead 20-0 at the half, the match was all but over already.

Meanwhile, there's no need to mince words: South Bend lost to Raymond, and they lost bad. The score wound up at 14-57. South Bend were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 14-41.

Pe Ell/Willapa Valley's win lifted them to 4-2 while South Bend's loss dropped them down to 1-4. In their victory, Pe Ell/Willapa Valley relied heavily on junior Max Smith, who rushed for 128 yards and 1 touchdown. South Bend will need to find a way to minimize his impact if they want to win.
