Volleyball Recap: Palo Verde Comes Up Short

Palo Verde lost against Pusch Ridge Christian Academy on April 8th, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Titans took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lions.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Pusch Ridge Christian Academy scored at least 17 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-19, 20-25, 25-19.

Palo Verde's loss dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Pusch Ridge Christian Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.

Palo Verde will head out to square off against St. Augustine Catholic at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Titans are facing the Wolves at the right time seeing as the Wolves are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Pusch Ridge Christian Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Benjamin Franklin at 5:30 p.m. The Chargers will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Lions surely won't give up without a fight.
