Baseball Game Preview: Churchill Chargers vs. Madison Mavericks

Churchill is 9-1 against Madison since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Churchill Chargers will look to defend their home field against the Madison Mavericks at 12:00 p.m. The last three games Churchill has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Last Tuesday, Churchill didn't have quite enough to beat Madison and fell 5-4.

Samuel Kennedy made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Sam Byrd, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Churchill has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. The victory got Madison back to even at 6-6-1.
