Baseball Recap: Berry Wildcats vs. Carbon Hill Bulldogs
The scorekeeper got an easy start on Monday as neither Berry nor Carbon Hill made it on the board until the sixth inning. The Wildcats' pitcher stepped up to hand the Bulldogs a 3-0 shutout. The Wildcats have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bulldogs, too.
Berry's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Shaun Waltrip, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run. That's the most stolen bases Waltrip has posted since back in April of 2025. Mason Parr also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
