Football Recap: Connor Hoebee Leads Wallkill Valley's Defense on Saturday

While Wallkill Valley put up some points on Saturday, the same can't be said for Whippany Park. The Rangers managed a 6-0 win over the Wildcats. The six-point effort marked the Rangers' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Connor Hoebee was the offensive standout of the matchup as he picked up 89 receiving yards and one score. That's the most receiving yards he has posted since back in September of 2024.

Wallkill Valley didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Hoebee, Michael Testa, and Ethan Alfonso picked up one apiece.

Wallkill Valley is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 7.3 points on average over those games. As for Whippany Park, they dropped their record down to 2-5 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.
