Volleyball Game Preview: Chula Vista Spartans vs. Mar Vista Mariners + How To Watch

Chula Vista hasn't had much luck against Mar Vista recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Spartans will venture away from home to challenge the Mariners at 4:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Chula Vista and San Ysidro meet (six straight games heading into this one) and that held true again two weeks ago. The Spartans lost 3-0 to the Cougars.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-11, 25-10.

Meanwhile, Mar Vista came up short against O'Farrell Charter on Tuesday and fell 3-1.

The final score came out to 25-16, 23-25, 25-20, 25-22.

Chula Vista's defeat dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Mar Vista, their loss dropped their record down to 7-21.

Chula Vista couldn't quite get it done against Mar Vista in their previous meeting back in September as they fell 2-0. Can the Spartans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
