Volleyball Recap: Syracuse Falls Short of Farmington in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Syracuse can now relate to. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Farmington Phoenix on Saturday. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Phoenix this season, with their most recent loss being a 3-1 defeat last Thursday.

Gabe Meredith paced Syracuse's offense, picking up six kills. Meredith got some help from Zane Nanney and his 12 assists.

Farmington can attribute much of their success to Charlie Evans, who had 13 digs.

Syracuse has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 21-8 record this season. As for Farmington, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-8 record this season.

Syracuse does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Farmington, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Davis on the 10th.
