Basketball Recap: Newcomers Comes Up Short

Newcomers was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 19th straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 67-19 loss at the hands of the Newtown Pioneers. The matchup marked Newcomers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Newcomers' defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Newtown, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-1.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Queens Complex the next time they take the court. Newcomers will host Queens Complex at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, while Newtown will host them at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
