Basketball Game Preview: Carroll Tigers vs. Winterset Huskies

The Carroll Tigers will head out on the road to challenge the Winterset Huskies at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Winterset took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Carroll, who comes in off a win.

Carroll got their first taste of in-conference action this week and they started things off strong. They blew past Boone 53-22 on Tuesday. That 31 point margin sets a new team best for the Tigers this season.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 69-39, which was the final score in Winterset's tilt against North Polk on Tuesday. The Huskies haven't had much luck with the Comets recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Winterset's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Carroll, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Carroll didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Winterset in their previous matchup back in January, but they still walked away with a 47-43 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Carroll since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
