Winfield posted their closest win since October 24, 2024 on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out St. Charles West 2-1. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Winfield also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Winfield had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-13, 27-25.

Winfield found their leader in sophomore Aubree Schott, who had 16 assists.

Winfield is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. As for St. Charles West, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-3.

Coming up, Winfield will head out on the road to take on Warrenton at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. Charles West, they will take on Hazelwood West at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
