Basketball Preview: Harding Academy Lions vs. First Assembly Christian Crusaders

The Harding Academy Lions will head out on the road to square off against the First Assembly Christian Crusaders at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Harding Academy put the finishing touches on their seventh blowout victory of the season on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 41-21 margin over Westminster Academy. The win was some much needed relief for Harding Academy as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Harding Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Gabi Ruvalcaba out in front who scored seven points along with ten rebounds and seven steals. Emory Miller was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with six rebounds and three blocks.

Meanwhile, First Assembly Christian entered their tilt with the Gryphons with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. First Assembly Christian came out on top against the Gryphons by a score of 60-53 on Friday.

Harding Academy now has a winning record of 12-11. As for First Assembly Christian, they pushed their record up to 13-10 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home.

Harding Academy ended up a good deal behind the Crusaders in their previous matchup on Monday, losing 59-43. Can Harding Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
