They got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of Evan Bates and Luke Bates, who each put up seven points.

Newton Falls' defeat dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Liberty, their loss dropped their record down to 4-8.

Newton Falls didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Liberty when the teams last played back in January of 2024, but they still walked away with a 57-51 victory. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Bates, who went 10 for 17 on his way to 25 points and four steals.
