Basketball Recap: Timothy Christian Comes Up Short

Timothy Christian lost against Christ the King back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Trojans took a 45-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Gladiators. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 176th, while the Gladiators are ranked 39th).

When it comes to explaining why Timothy Christian lost, don't look at Charlie Crichton. Despite the final result, he posted 15 points. Charles Rieger also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.

This is the second loss in a row for Timothy Christian and nudges their season record down to 3-2. As for Christ the King, they pushed their record up to 6-0 with the victory, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.
