Basketball Recap: Legacy Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Legacy Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a hard 77-59 fall against the Emmanuel Christian Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Crusaders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 56-40 back in January.

Emmanuel Christian was led to victory by Zion McKnight and Zander McKnight. Zion posted 26 points along with seven assists and six steals, while Zander had 23 points in addition to seven rebounds and seven steals. Zion has been hot for a while, having posted three or more steals the last 13 times he's played. Another player making a difference was AJ Kirtlan, who almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine boards.

Legacy Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Emmanuel Christian, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-3.

Legacy Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Emmanuel Christian, they will welcome King's Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Emmanuel Christian has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 216 points over their last three matches.
